We take the Free Hugs campaign all around Scotland. After discovering a version of the Free Hugs video that some people did in my local city, I thought it might be fun to take it all over Scotland. I filmed the guys in Aberdeen and we went on a long day trip to Edinburgh, Glasgow and Perth. We witnessed exactly what Juan Mann experienced, the police asked us to leave but the public stood there and defended us. The music was written especially for the video by me, James Provan (GiR2007). Filmed and edited by me also. The main guy in the video is John - http://www.youtube.com/user/j1j8 Visit the Bebo page http://FreeHugsScotland.bebo.com

Out in select theaters September 27th. In an incredible twist of fate, a Scottish doctor (James McAvoy) on a Ugandan medical mission becomes irreversibly entangled with one of the world's most barbaric figures: Idi Amin (Forest Whitaker). Impressed by Dr. Garrigan's brazen attitude in a moment of crisis, the newly self-appointed Ugandan President Amin hand picks him as his personal physician and closest confidante. Though Garrigan is at first flattered and fascinated by his new position, he soon awakens to Amin's savagery - and his own complicity in it. Horror and betrayal ensue as Garrigan tries to right his wrongs and escape Uganda alive.

YouScotland's alternative version of "Scotland the Brave", 21st century style.

"Scotland the Brave" (Scottish Gaelic: Alba an Aigh) is a patriotic song and one of the main contenders to be considered as a national anthem of Scotland. In June 2006, the song came second to Flower of Scotland in an online poll with more than 10,000 votes to determine the nation's favourite unofficial "anthem". The song is used to represent Scotland in the Commonwealth Games. Scotland the Brave is also the authorised pipe band march of The British Columbia Dragoons of the Canadian Forces and is played during the Pass in Review at Friday parades at The Citadel. In 2006, it was adopted as the regimental quick march of the Royal Regiment of Scotland. Scotland the Brave (Alba an Aigh en gaélique écossais) est, avec The Flower of Scotland, l'hymne national écossais. Scotland the Brave é um dos hinos não-oficiais da Escócia junto com Scots Wha Hae e Flower of Scotland.

James McAvoy -- Last King of Scotland Interview

Excerpt from a documentary series featuring the Transalpine Redemptorist monks of Papa Stronsay, Scotland - a congregation of traditionalist Catholic Fathers and Brothers of both Eastern and Western Rite from all over the world. The documentary was filmed in September 2003 and originally aired on Channel 4 (UK) in 2004. The congregation was founded in 1988 by Fr Michael Mary and Fr Anthony Mary on the advice of Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre. Their aim was to found a new Redemptorist congregation which observed the original Rule of Saint Alphonsus and ignored the reforms adopted by modern Redemptorists following the Second Vatican Council. The congregation moved from the Isle of Sheppy in Kent, England, to Papa Stronsay in 1999. The island was considered ideal because of its seclusion from the world and ancient connection with the monastic tradition. As well as producing their own newspaper, the monks raise their own cattle and sheep and they produce most of their own food. For more information visit: www.papastronsay.com
