This is certainly no substitute for the original, but I've always been intrigued by transcriptions of this nature. This is the Cavatina from Beethoven's Opus 130 String Quartet arranged for solo piano by Charles-Valentin Alkan. Let me know what I can do to improve.
Hamelin plays the Allegretto Alla Barbaresca from Alkan's "Concerto for Solo Piano" I know, the video quality isn't great... I think this might be a live concert from Japan. Anyhoo.. enjoy.

Check out EROL ALKAN's first visit to the West Coast ever! He played live at The Coachella Music and Arts Festival in Indio CA on Saturday April 26th. I loved the ethnic tracks he mixed into the set... very different sound. Another great remixer. EROL... Keeps Kids Dancing!
Erol keeps the crowd buzzing in inimitable style. Plays 'Moving Like a Train' (Smith N Hack remix), a jumped up acid-jazzy track with shades of Laurent Garnier. If you're wondering, they were either giving out the cowboy hats free with the beer, or the beer free with the hats.
